Friday night Curt would race at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway.  He would finish 4th in his heat and start 6th in the feature.  Curt would finish the feature in 10th and find that he suffered a broken lifter which explained the lack of power the engine had during the feature.  The broken lifter caused Curt to miss the Saturday night race at the Hamilton County Speedway.  Curt should be back in action this weekend at Des Moines on Friday, Webster City on Saturday and then Boone on Monday for the Deery Brothers Summer Series show.

Friday night at Des Moines was rained out, but the Team headed to Webster City on Saturday night to race.  Curt would finish 3rd in his heat race and that would put him starting on the outside front row for the feature.  Curt would jump out to an early lead and lead 14 laps before getting passed by Ryan Griffith.  Curt would go on to finish 2nd.

Friday night Curt raced at the Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines, he would run 5th in his heat race and 9th in the feature.  Saturday night Curt would head to the Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City.  Curt would win his heat race and start on the pole for the feature.  Curt would lead a couple laps until he was passed by Craig Jacobs and Al Johnson.  Curt would then run 3rd for the remainder of the race with first and second in hi sights, but he just couldn't make a moved to pass them.  Curt would end up 3rd.

The last couple weeks have been pretty decent for the Schroeder Motorsports Team.  Last weekend at Des Moines, Curt would lead his heat race until the last lap when he was passed by Al Johnson and settled for second.  In the feature Curt would be running in the 8th position once again until the last corner when Al Johnson would pass him and relegate Curt to a 9th place finish.  On Saturday night at Webster City Curt would finish 5th in his heat race and 6th in the feature.  The plan for Memorial day weekend is once again to race at Des Moines and Webster City, Friday and Saturday nights, respectively.

5/10/12

Well the racing season has finally started and the first weekend was a pretty good one for the Schroeder Motorsports Team.  Friday the Team went to the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway, Curt would win his heat race and start the feature on the outside front row.  One the first lap of the feature Curt would hit a rut and bend a heim on a rearend bar making the car very tight.  Curt would fight the car throughout the race and finish 6th.

On Saturday the Team went to the Hamilton County Speedway, Curt would finish 3rd in his heat race and start the feature in 4th.  A nonstop 20 lap feature saw Curt finish in the 4th position.  So like I said it was a pretty good opening weekend.
