Curt began racing in 2003 in the Pro Stock division at West Liberty Speedway in West Liberty, IA.  Curt ran in the Pro Stock division through the 2004 season.  Curt then took the 2005 season off before making the jump into the IMCA Late Model ranks for 2006.  For the 2007 season Curt once again moved up in the racing ranks by moving from the IMCA style Late Models to an Open Late Model competing on the USRA Late Model Series and select races with the WDRL, WoO, and Lucas Oil Series.  In 2010 Curt will try to run the Corn Belt Clash Series Schedule and hit other open motor shows.

Curt graduated from Iowa State University in 2002 with a degree in Accounting.  While at ISU Curt was also a Letterwinner as Linebacker for the ISU Cyclone Football Team.  In the Spring of 2007 Curt passed his CPA exam and received his Certified Public Accountants license.
